In one rare case, Careem customers were charged an additional several thousand for a single trip today when a technical malfunction occurred in the system.
The main reason for the additional fee is said to be a system error that incorrectly charged Pakistani customers with dirhams, dollars, and other foreign currencies.

For example when a customer should pay Rs. 1,500 for one trip, the Careem system will charge you Dhs. 1,500, that’s around Rs. 62,000.
When approached, Careem confirmed the problem, saying that a technical error was causing the hiccups.
According to officials, the excess fees will be reimbursed to customers in a timely manner.
