According to a statement published on Monday, the Federal Ministry of Education ordered private education schools to cut their fees by 20% due to the third wave of the coronavirus.
By order of the ministry, the private education regulator issued a notice urging schools to cut their fees by 20% for April and May.
The notice states that the order is for facilities that charge students more than Rs 8,000.
Pakistan reports less than 100 deaths from Covid-19 for the first time since April 25.
At least 79 people were killed in the past 24 hours by the coronavirus, bringing the death toll across the country to 18,149 on Monday.

This is the first time since April 25 that Pakistan has reported fewer than 100 deaths.
About 4,213 people tested positive for COVID-19 when 45,954 tests were conducted nationwide in the past 24 hours, data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) showed.
The positivity rate for coronavirus cases is 9.16%, and 87,953 for active cases nationwide.
The total number of COVID-19 cases now stands at 834146, with the majority of cases being reported in Punjab.

According to the official portal, the number of nationwide restores has so far reached 717,009.
In a provincial breakdown, the total number of COVID-19 patients in Sindh has reached 285,626, while 4,667 people have died to date.
The total number of coronavirus patients in Punjab is 306,929 and 8,572 people have died from the virus, while the total in Balochistan has reached 22,620, with a death toll of 237.
In KPK, 120,064 people are infected with coronavirus and 3,392 people have died as a result.
In Azad Kashmir, 17,371 people were infected with the virus and 476 people died.
So far, 5,327 coronavirus patients and 107 deaths have been reported in Gilgit-Baltistan.

According to the official NCOC website, the total number of COVID-19 patients in the federal capital Islamabad is 76,209 and so far 691 patients have died.
