The Eid-al-Fitr holidays will be celebrated across the country from May 10th to 15th, the Interior Ministry said in a notice released on Monday.
The development comes after the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) recommended observing the Eid-al-Fitr holiday in Pakistan, May 10-15.

“Announcement of the Eid holiday from May 10-15, 2021, which clearly indicates the intention to reduce national mobility,” the NCOC statement said.
In an attempt to slow the spread of the virus, NCOC also announced comprehensive guidelines called “STAY HOME-STAY SAFE – Eid-ul-Fitr-2021, May 8-16, 2021”.
The NCOC banned Chand Raat bazaars, including mehendi, jewelry, and clothing stalls, from May 8-16.
