The federal government announced relief on Wednesday for agricultural tube wells and households using up to 300 units of electricity.
Energy Minister Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari shared that monthly fuel adjustment charges will be reduced for these consumers.

A spokesperson for the Power Division explained that this benefit was discontinued in June 2015 for those using up to 300 units, while agricultural tube wells lost the relief even earlier, in December 2010. A request has been sent to NEPRA to restore these adjustments.
By removing these charges, the government hopes to ease financial pressure on farmers and low-consumption households. The move is expected to bring down electricity bills for both groups.
