Sindh Oxford Scholarships Announcement for Deserving Students

The Sindh government has introduced a scholarship program that will send six deserving students to Oxford University. This initiative aims to support those who are academically strong but face financial hurdles.

The announcement came during a ceremony where Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was present. He also took part in signing an agreement for the Bhutto Scholarship Program.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah shared that the scholarships will be split equally, with three going to male students and three to female students. The objective is to provide opportunities to both genders on the same footing.

During his visit to Oxford University, Bilawal Bhutto spoke about his mother, former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. He reflected on her dedication to democracy and women’s empowerment, recalling her belief that democracy serves as the best response to oppression.

Benazir Bhutto made history by becoming Pakistan’s first female Prime Minister despite the societal challenges of her time. Bilawal pointed out that her leadership paved the way for more women in politics, mentioning that Punjab now has a female Chief Minister.
