Apple might kick off its 2025 lineup with the new iPhone SE 4. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that the company plans to reveal the model in the next few days, with the full announcement expected next week. Instead of a big event, Apple will share details via a press release, and the phone could hit stores later this month for a starting price of $499.
Reports from Apple outlets show that stocks of the 2022 iPhone SE are getting low, hinting that a replacement is on its way. This update could mark a turning point for the company, as it may become the first iPhone to feature a modem built in-house—a change that should cut the need for Qualcomm parts.

The new phone is said to borrow its design from the iPhone 14. It will come with a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display that includes a notch and a familiar button layout, offering a clear improvement over the previous model’s look, which echoed the iPhone 8 with large bezels and a home button.
At the back, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to sport a 48MP main camera—a big jump from the 12MP setup in its predecessor. The device is also set to receive the A18 chipset along with 8GB of RAM, which should help it run Apple Intelligence features smoothly.
In line with new European Union rules, the Lightning port will be swapped for a USB-C connector. The regulations now require USB-C on all small and medium-sized gadgets.
