Traveling from Lahore to Dubai is becoming increasingly difficult for Pakistanis, with the UAE visa rejection rate now reportedly at 99%.
According to travel agents, the strict conditions set by the UAE government have led to a sharp decline in approved visas.

Sadiq Sabir, an Executive Board Member of the Travel Agents Association of Pakistan (TAAP), explained that UAE authorities now require applicants to provide a bank statement showing one million PKR, a confirmed return ticket, and hotel bookings for visit visa applications.
Sabir mentioned that around 2,000 visa applications are submitted daily from Lahore alone, but security concerns result in 99% of these applications being rejected. This has caused considerable financial losses for applicants.
Applicants reportedly lose between 1,500 to 2,000 dirhams per rejection. On top of that, visa application fees and hotel booking charges are non-refundable, adding to their financial strain.
