Jannat Mirza, the well-known social media star, recently shared that she prefers TikTok over movies.
During her appearance on the Girls Only podcast, Mirza was asked if she would choose creating content for TikTok instead of pursuing a film career. She responded, saying that today’s youth are more inclined to stay home and scroll through TikTok rather than spend money on cinema tickets. “The younger generation just isn’t interested in cinemas anymore,” she added.

Mirza also reflected on her early days on TikTok, mentioning how she used to make cringe-worthy videos. “Back then, that was the trend, and no one thought much of it,” she said, admitting that she can’t bring herself to watch those old clips now.
On a more personal note, Mirza opened up about her recent breakup with her ex-fiancé, Umer Butt, which made headlines on social media. She explained that the decision wasn’t easy, but it was something she had thought through. “I wasn’t ready for the breakup, but I wasn’t afraid of it either. I was happy after that. It wasn’t an impulsive decision,” she shared. “We had discussed it before making the final call. I couldn’t stay in that relationship, and I have a strong support system, including my parents and sisters.”
