Calculating The Salary Required For an iPhone 15 in Pakistan
The new iPhone 15 series is here and includes the iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max. Spoiler alert, These phones are not cheap at all, at least for us Pakistanis.
Just in time, the popular Twitter account World of Statistics revealed how much of your average monthly salary you will have to spend to buy the new iPhone 15 Pro Max with 256 GB.

According to their statistics, an average Pakistani would have to spend 816% of their monthly salary to get the new iPhone 15 Pro Max. This puts us slightly ahead of Egypt, where we would need to spend 821%, but well behind Nigeria, where we would need 754%. The worst thing is that Pakistan’s currency value is actually better than Nigeria’s.
The top 5 countries on the list are Switzerland, where you only have to spend 20% of your monthly salary on the iPhone. This is followed by Singapore with 24%, the United States with 28%, the United Arab Emirates with 34% and Australia with 35%.
iPhone 15 Pro Max Price in Pakistan
The iPhone 15 Pro Max 256GB starts at 1,100 US Dollars. This is equivalent to 324,961 rupees at the current exchange rate (295 rupees). However, we know that the phone will cost a lot more after PTA approval as the iPhone 14 Pro Max currently costs Rs 540,000 in Pakistan with additional retail margins.
Given this information, we expect the iPhone 15 Pro Max to have a starting price of around Rs 555,000, or maybe even more once we have the official launch.
