The UAE Introduces A New Gaming Authority With Renowned Experts
The United Arab Emirates has created a new authority to oversee commercial gambling and a national lottery. It’s called the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) and is responsible for developing rules and standards for the country’s lottery and gambling scene.
Kevin Mullally, a big name with more than three decades of experience in global gaming regulation, takes over as CEO.
In securing this position, Mullally expressed his enthusiasm to work with his team of experts to create a strong regulatory foundation for the gaming world in the UAE.
The team consists of first-class international experts who are very familiar with the rules of the game. Industry expert Jim Murren is chairman of the board.
He is particularly pleased to have Mullally on board and believes his vast experience will be crucial in establishing appropriate rules in the UAE.
GCGRA’s goal is to create a safe and responsible gaming environment. This means ensuring everyone follows strict rules and maintains the highest standards.
In addition, the authority will be responsible for issuing licenses nationwide and looking for smart ways in which commercial gambling can benefit the economy.
