Shahid Afridi is Expected To Take Over As A Minister in Caretaker Govt
Former Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi is expected to be appointed federal minister in the interim configuration until the next general election.
According to Dunya News, the former all-rounder’s name is being considered for a key appointment as interim minister.
Senator Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar was sworn in as interim prime minister on August 14 after the National Assembly term expired.
The Balochistan-born senator, 52, was sworn in before President Arif Alvi yesterday on Independence Day, in a ceremony meant to lead the country to elections.
