PM Started 15 New Packages For Overseas Pakistanis
On his last day as Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif announced a stimulus package for overseas Pakistanis to offer them better services and support.
On Twitter, Shehbaz wrote that this package aims to strengthen its involvement in Pakistan and facilitate its interactions with various institutions.

- To resolve property issues of Pakistanis abroad, hotlines are being set up, staffed by the Secretaries-General of all provinces and the Chief Commissioner in Islamabad.
- Special courts will be set up in ICT and in all provinces of Pakistan to expedite the resolution of property issues for Pakistanis abroad.
- Foreign Pakistanis receive a 10% quota on all public sector housing programs, with a further 5% rebate for foreign currency and bank channel payments.
- The successful Punjab Overseas Pakistan Commission (POPC) model is being adopted in all other provinces.
- Special immigration counters will be set up at all international airports in the country to provide assistance and recognition to Pakistanis abroad.
- Based on data collected by the State Bank of Pakistan, awards are given to the top ten senders among Pakistanis abroad.
- A Hall of Fame for Pakistan Overseas Missions will be established to honor and congratulate notable Pakistanis abroad for their contributions and achievements.
- The National Central Savings Authority will introduce special national savings programs for Pakistanis abroad with attractive interest rates.
- The number of passport and NADRA relief counters in Pakistani embassies/missions abroad will be increased.
- Blacklisted passports are automatically removed from the blacklist after a certain period of time.
- The Department of State (MOFA) will improve and streamline the online notarization process for documents.
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will establish field offices in areas of Pakistan where there is a significant concentration of Pakistanis expatriate to facilitate document notarization and related services.
- Online biometric verification will be introduced for Pakistanis abroad for purposes such as pensions, bank accounts, and real estate transactions.
- The NADRA system will communicate with union councils to facilitate the issuance of marriage, divorce, birth, and death certificates for Pakistanis abroad.
- A 5 percent quota is reserved for children of Pakistanis abroad in public sector colleges, supplemented by need- and merit-based scholarships for Pakistani children abroad.
