How To Get Paid For Making Content on Twitter?
Twitter rolled out a new feature that compensates creators by sharing the advertising revenue generated by ads displayed in response to their tweets.
To be eligible for payments, you must be a Twitter Blue subscriber or affiliated with a verified organization. You must also have at least 5 million tweet impressions in the last three months and pass a human review of creator monetization standards. You must have 10,000 or more followers and post at least 25 tweets within 30 days.
Twitter CEO Elon Musk said the first round of payments will total $5 million and will be extended from February. All payments are processed via Stripe.
Content creators on Twitter are already making up to $25,000+. Author Brian Krassenstein says Twitter paid him a total of $24,305. In total, he has 750,000 followers.

Other more popular Twitter accounts, including Internet Hall of Fame, managed to generate an impressive $107,274. This is one of Twitter’s largest payments since the ad revenue share program was launched.
It’s not yet clear how Twitter will calculate the amount of earnings shared with users, or how it will be split between eligible accounts.
Twitter benefits from ads served in response to tweets because of the difficulty in determining which creators to get paid for the ads displayed in the main feed, a tricky situation shared by short-video platforms like TikTok in terms of revenue sharing see confronted.
Of course, this provision motivates creators to encourage their audience to comment on their tweets. Ideally, this would lead to healthy conversations. However, as we’ve seen on platforms like Facebook, it’s often the most intense emotional responses that drive the most engagement.
