Emirates ID Renewal Status Check Online Process

The Federal Agency for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) of the United Arab Emirates has issued guidelines for the issuance and renewal of Emirati ID cards and residence permits.

ICP shared a video on Twitter outlining the procedures for releasing the above two documents.

The procedures that applicants must follow on the ICP application or website to complete the renewal and issuance process are listed below:

Emirates ID Renewal Process

  1. Create a UAE Pass account or log in to Smart Services if you already have one.
  2. Select the Emirates ID card and residence permit issuance service.
  3. Submit the application, review and improve the information, and pay the fee.
  4. An authorized courier will deliver your Emirates ID to you.

It is important to note that with the permission of the UAE government, the Emirates ID card serves as a residence permit and you can use it as a substitute for your passport when applying for a residence visa.

When renewing their Emirates ID, the PKI requires applicants to provide current and accurate information.

Emirates ID Renewal Processing Time And Documents

The following information must be entered correctly by applicants during the process:

  1. Emirates identification number and expiry date.
  2. Data in the digital application form.
  3. Your contact information, including your email address and shipping method.

ICP checks and validates the data once the applicant has entered it according to the process requirements.
