3 Cities in The UAE Gain Places in The Ranking Of The Safest Cities in The World

Abu Dhabi, Ajman, and Dubai have all been ranked among the top five safest cities in the world, confirming the UAE’s reputation as a safe and stable place to live and work. The data comes from Numbeo, a global provider of economic, social, and security services.

Based on the figures for the first half of 2023, Abu Dhabi was named the safest city in the world, followed by Ajman in second place and Dubai in fifth place.

Abu Dhabi has consistently held the top spot since 2022. Doha and Taipei secured third and fourth place respectively. Muscat, eighth, was the only other city in the region to make the top ten.

A recent survey by the Department of Community Development (DCD) found that more than 93% of Abu Dhabi residents feel safe walking alone at night.

Numbeo regularly publishes data and rankings on various aspects of cities around the world, including quality of life, crime, healthcare, pollution, and transport.

Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police Force, attributed the high ranking in the Numbeo index to the high importance attached by Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, a member of the Supreme Federal Council and Ruler of Ajman.

Sheikh Sultan also pointed out that the country’s high rank also reflects the amount of foreign investment it attracts, which is a direct result of its strong security capabilities.
