How To Change or Update Personal Information On Emirates ID
The Emirates ID card is a card issued by the UAE Federal Agency for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP). All UAE citizens and residents are required to apply and carry it at all times.
With the card, you can use state services and take part in elections to the Federal National Council. It also serves as a travel document for nationals wishing to transit through Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries or to process immigration through eGates and smart gates at UAE airports.
You may need to update your Emirates ID information. The card contains two types of information: key information and non-key information. Key information includes name, nationality, and date of birth. Non-essential information includes address and occupation.
To make important data changes, you must visit the ICP branch office, while non-critical data updates can be made at the ICP eService kiosks.
