Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 And Flip 5 Will Release Sooner Than Expected
Samsung could launch its Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 foldable devices earlier this year than originally planned.
While Samsung has yet to confirm or deny the rumor, a Korean publication called The Elec claimed that the two foldable phones would be launched 2-3 weeks earlier than their July predecessors.
As a result, the production schedule for some components of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, including the new drop-style hinge, will be pushed forward in 2-3 weeks. However, other tracks follow a similar production schedule as last year.
According to The Elec, both phones will come with the same M12 OLED displays as their predecessors. This contrasts with the M13 displays that Google may use for the Pixel Fold, its first foldable smartphone, which is expected to be announced alongside the Pixel 7a at Google I/O 2023 on May 10.
Although Samsung has yet to comment on the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, leaked renders have recently surfaced that offer an idea of what these smartphones might look like.
As the images show, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to feature a much larger secondary display, while the Z Fold 5 will generally look the same.
