Dubai Unveils Multiple Locations Of Eid Al-Fitr Cannons

Dubai Police have announced they will set up seven locations across the city where cannons will be fired to mark the end of Ramadan and start the Eid Al-Fitr celebrations.

A cannon shot was fired daily at Iftar time during Ramadan and this activity became a popular attraction for tourists and a sign for those fasting to break their fast.

Dubai will celebrate the start of Eid by firing cannons from seven different locations around the city. The Police Department has shared the specific locations where the cannons will be placed, which are as follows:

  • Grand Zaabeel Mosque
  • Al Barsha
  • Muallah Al Mankhool
  • Nad Al Sheba Area
  • Nadd Al Hamar
  • Baraha
  • Hatta

These cannons will mark the start of the festive season and create a spectacle for residents and tourists alike.

Security Measures During Eid in Dubai

Dubai Police, along with other authorities, have made all necessary preparations to ensure a safe celebration of Eid Al-Fitr.

The Dubai police have presented a detailed strategy to protect all mosques and main places of worship, deploy police on the streets and strengthen security in strategic areas, tourist attractions, shopping malls, and open-air markets, according to state-run WAM news agency.

It will deploy a total of 4,387 police officers, including 66 traffic constables, 798 private security guards, and 465 security patrols, to strengthen security measures.

There will also be 165 lifeguards on Dubai beaches, 14 maritime security boats, 123 ambulances, 738 paramedics, 10 lifeboats, 29 bicycle patrols, 75 civil defense vehicles, 24 small cranes, and 17 land rescue patrols.
