Saudi Arabia Started Aetikaf Applications in Masjid-e-Nabavi
Saudi media reported earlier this week that registration for Aetikaf 2023 will begin on 4th April (Ramadan 13) and run until Ramadan 19, according to a statement from the Presidency-General for Two Holy Mosques Affairs.
The Harmain Sharifian administration has announced that applications for Aetikaf in Masjid-e-Nabvi will be accepted through the “Zairon” app.
On the other hand, according to Saudi media, registration for Aetikaf in Masjid al-Haram started on March 23 and is done through the “NUSUK” application.
The announcement of the Aetikaf registration has sparked excitement and anticipation among Muslims around the world, who see it as an opportunity to deepen their spiritual bonds during the holy month of Ramadan. Mecca and Medina traditionally see a significant increase in visitor numbers during this time, and this trend is expected to continue this year.
As part of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Presidency General announced that I’tikaf participants will be required to provide proof of vaccination against the virus.
