Abu Dhabi And Dubai Airports Provide 24-Hour Passport Renewal Service

The UAE Digital Government has announced that the Directorate-General for Residence and Foreign Affairs (DDRFA) is offering a 24-hour passport renewal service at Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports.

Citizens of the United Arab Emirates can easily obtain a new, renewed, or replacement Emirati passport through the five routes offered by the e-government. This includes using the “Residence and Alien/Citizenship Affairs” area, the “Nationality and Residency e-Portal”, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) and applying at Abu Dhabi Airport, Dubai and Sharjah.

In addition, the digital government pointed out that the new passport is only valid for up to five years and the national must apply for a new one by presenting the original or copies of three documents including a family book, ID card, and a recent photo. You must also return the expired passport to the authorities.

If UAE citizens have questions about Emirati passports in Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, or Umm Al Quwain, they can contact the DDRFA in their respective emirates. You can also contact the ICP call center at 600522222 for general questions. For inquiries in Dubai please contact Amer Service at 8005111.
