Dan Cerrillo served as a Navy SEAL from 1993 to 2005. He graduated with a BUD/S Class 194 degree. Cerrillo served as an operator and instructor for SEAL Team 1.
During his time with the Navy SEALs, he completed three deployments, including missions related to Operation Enduring and Iraqi Freedom.

Dan Cerrillo, a former Navy SEAL known as Spartan7adventr, died on 25th March 2023, according to his daughter.
“He had a heart attack while running a shooting range,” Taylor Cerrillo wrote on Instagram.
“I will do everything in my power to continue to pursue his dreams, his legacy, and his desire to save our heroes,” he said.
Cerrillo’s family includes daughter Taylor, son Kellan, and wife Leilani. Friends, colleagues, and admirers paid tribute to him and remembered his courage, dedication, and unwavering commitment to service to others.

In 1998 he became a member of the Instructors’ Staff at the Naval Special Operations/Special Warfare Center.
Cerrillo was a charter member of the Navy SEAL Fund, which provides emergency assistance to SEALs and their families. He was the Tennessee Ambassador to the Navy SEAL Foundation dedicated to helping and supporting the Special Operations community.
He was a board member of the Navy SEALs Fund until his death.
Cerillo founded Spartan 7 Adventure in July 2016. The company offers realistic SEAL adventures to its customers. Three years later, the company became Spartan 7 Inc.

When word spread that Dan Cerrillo passed away in March, many of his friends and former colleagues posted their tributes online.
Shawn Ryan tweeted after his death, “He was a role model in so many ways, as a Navy SEAL, as a veteran, as a businessman, as a husband, as a father, and as a person in general.”
Another friend paid tribute to Dan Cerrillo, writing that “he was a fighter whose love saved the lives of countless veterans.”
