UAE Residents Are The Most Eager To Go Abroad in The Wake Of The Pandemic, Says Report
A new study by YouGov, a UK-based research firm, has found UAE residents’ greatest desire in the wake of the pandemic is to travel the world. The report states that residents of the United Arab Emirates are “the most valued,” ranking first out of 18 countries.
According to the survey, one in five UAE residents has traveled with a larger group and taken an extended vacation in the last 12 months. Many residents are also considering moving to another country for work next year.
The report also predicted a decline in remote work during the holidays and an increase in vacation time during business trips in the future. 31% of UAE residents ranked safety when traveling as their top priority, while 27% researched local attractions.
About 26% expressed the desire to get to know other cultures when traveling abroad. Travelers from the United Arab Emirates also consider entertainment, quality of service and luxury accommodations before making travel decisions.
However, eating out and experiencing something new remained among the lowest priorities for travelers to the UAE. Here is the list of countries with the greatest desire to travel after the pandemic:
- United Arab Emirates
- India
- Hong Kong
- Singapore
- Italy
- Spain
- China
- Mexico
- Indonesia

According to YouGov, UAE travelers who want to visit off-the-beaten-track places and have personalized experiences are looking for tour operators that can meet their unique needs. Some visitors want to experience things that few have experienced before.
