Flydubai Will Launch New Direct Flights To Africa
The main airline based in the United Arab Emirates, Flydubai, will start daily flights to Mogadishu Aden Adde International Airport (MGQ) in Somalia from 9th March 2023.
The airline will double flights from June 1, becoming the first to fly direct to Somalia from Dubai and other parts of the United Arab Emirates.
Flydubai Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Hamad Obaidalla said the airline intends to expand its network in East Africa, which has seen economic growth and development.
With this new service, Flydubai will expand its network in Africa to 11 destinations, offering passengers more travel options. The airline’s existing destinations in Africa include Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Alexandria (Egypt), Asmara (Eritrea), Dar es Salaam (Tanzania), Djibouti, Entebbe (Uganda), Hargeisa (Somalia), Khartoum (Sudan), Juba (South ). Sudan) and Zanzibar (Tanzania).
Sudhir Sreedharan, Flydubai’s Senior Vice President of Business Operations (UAE, GCC, Africa, and Indian Subcontinent), expressed his excitement for the upcoming route, to be operated by the Boeing 737 MAX.
Passengers have the option to travel in business or economy class for a personalized experience.
