Athena Brownfield was allegedly murdered by her caretaker on Christmas Day. A child’s remains were found during a search of Oklahoma Brownfield.
Investigators discovered the remains Tuesday afternoon in rural Grady County, Oklahoma, about 44 miles east of Oklahoma City.

Killed By The Female Caregiver
Baby Athena was allegedly beaten to death on Christmas Day by her caretaker Ivon Adams, who was arrested on Thursday for child neglect.
Ivon, 36, was arrested in Arizona on Jan. 12 and charged with first-degree murder and child neglect. His estranged wife, Alysia Adams, was also arrested and charged with two counts of child neglect.
The affidavit accusing Ivon alleges she told Alysia that she buried the four-year-old’s body near a fence near her former home in Rush Springs, Grady County, according to KSWO.
Phone records reportedly show Ivon leaving the home and driving toward Rush Springs at approximately 4:15 a.m. on December 26, the day after he allegedly killed Athena.
A Child Remains Found in Oklahoma
The remains found have not yet been identified. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation revealed that Alysia was related to Athena and Adina.
The girls’ birth mother left the sisters in the care of Alysia and Ivon for a year or two, according to court doctors.
The family lived in Cyril’s home, a small town 70 miles southwest of Oklahoma City, for at least two years. For up to two years, the girls were never taken to a doctor’s appointment or enrolled in school, court records show.
