Seaview Remains Open On New Year’s Evening
Seaview Beach will remain open for locals on 31st December to celebrate New Year’s Eve, according to a Karachi police statement on Thursday.
Southern District Chief Superintendent of Police (SSP) Syed Asad Raza said in a statement that Karachi residents could attend the New Year celebrations at the entertainment center.
In addition, the police will take extreme security measures to ensure safety and tranquility on the property. Police have warned beachgoers to remain calm while partying.
According to him, nearly 2,500 police officers will be involved in security operations in and around Seaview.
“Celebrate the New Year in accordance with civil law, hoarding will not be allowed,” the police officer said, warning of strict action against those engaging in rude behavior.
The law enforcement official also warned the public that airstrikes could lead to attempted murder charges. He also warned townspeople to avoid reckless driving and one-wheel drive.
According to Raza, 150 officers will also have security duties on New Year’s Eve, in addition to the Shaheen troops and mounted police who would be stationed on the streets to protect the public.
The road next to Seaview remains one way after 10 pm on New Year’s Eve, and the police warned against the use of unnecessary pyrotechnics.
