Sergeant. Steven Robin and Officer Branden Estorffe are the two Bay St. Louis, Mississippi cops who were shot dead by a veterinarian in a Motel 6 parking lot.
The Bay St. Louis Police Department wrote on Facebook: The Bay St. Louis Police Department, as a grief agency, sadly reports the deaths of Sergeant Steven Robin and Officer Branden Estorffe, both of whom were killed on duty on the morning of 14th December 2022.
This tragic loss is a sad day for the Bay St. Louis Police Department and the community. We would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this difficult time.

Two Police Officers Shot Dead in Mississippi Motel 6 Killing
Bay St. Louis is a city in Hancock County, Mississippi. The killings took place in the early hours of 14th December 2022. Suspect Amy Anderson committed suicide at the scene, authorities said in a press release.
“Tragedy struck in Bay St. Louis today when two of our top officers were killed,” said Bay St. Louis Police Chief Toby Schwartz.
“We are gathering facts and will ensure a thorough investigation into this matter.”
Tributes Paid in Honor of Steven Robin
Law enforcement and political communities came together to commend the men for their sacrifice and heroism. Robin was 34 years old. Estorffe was 23 years old.
Senator Roger Wicker posted a video of the police motorcade on his Facebook page.
“Gayle and I joined officers from across the Gulf Coast who came out in droves to show their support for Bay St. Louis Police Officers Sgt. Steven Robin and Branden Estorffe. These officers selflessly lost their lives in the performance of their duties today,” he wrote.
“We owe a debt of gratitude to our law enforcement officers who protect us every day.”
“I am heartbroken at the terrible loss of two brave police officers. I pray for her family, friends, colleagues, and the entire Bay St. Louis community,” Gov. Tate Reeves said in the press release.
“Every day, our law enforcement officers in Mississippi risk their lives in constant and repeated acts of selfless sacrifice for their community. They are one of the main reasons why the rest of us can live our lives safely and freely. You are the thin blue line.”
Who Are The Suspects To Be Arrested?
In a press release, the Mississippi Department of Public Safety wrote that around 4:30 a.m. M., Branden Estorffe, 23, and Steven Robin, 34, of the Bay St. Louis Police Department “responded to a call for a welfare check at the motel 6 in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi at 1003 Highway 90.”
Upon arrival, “the two officers saw a woman, Amy Anderson, 43, seated in a parked vehicle with an underage woman.”
The statement continued: After a nearly 30-minute interaction with Anderson, during which a Child Protective Services resource was called, Anderson released a gun from inside the vehicle, hitting the two officers. Officer Robin was fatally injured at the scene and Officer Estorffe succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
Anderson died at the scene from a gunshot wound to the chest. Anderson was a mom and veterinarian from Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
