Eleni Kassa has been identified by police as a car victim of the Dearborn crash and her human remains were found in the back of the car linked to a Tennessee mother who went missing ten days ago.
Kassa, a missing woman from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, was identified by Michigan State Police on Twitter Monday night because the victim was in the trunk of a vehicle police were chasing Sunday.
The deceased driver and suspect in the case have been identified as Dominique Hardwick, 36, of Lebanon, Tennessee. Police were unable to identify the 34-year-old woman in the passenger seat. She was arrested and taken to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.

What Were The Details Of An Incident?
The incident happened around 2 p.m. Sunday near the Dearborn-Detroit border. Dearborn police pursued a black 2020 Dodge Challenger SRT that was reportedly reported in Murfreesboro, Tenn., as being involved in a missing person case.
The Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Police Department investigating Kassa’s disappearance said in a statement Monday night that “the missing person’s investigation has determined that there is a possible incident of domestic violence involving Kassa and his girlfriend Hardwick” after it was found in A dispute had arisen at Kassa’s Murfreesboro home.
Kassa’s cell phone and car were left at the apartment, police said. The two were believed to be traveling in Hardwick’s black Charger.
Murfreesboro CID detectives have been searching for Cash for more than a week. They conducted two separate K-9 searches and spoke to family members and witnesses.
They also had search warrants, including one for a home in Lebanon, Tennessee, where Hardwick had lived.

Kassa’s family is holding a GoFundMe fundraiser to support “her tragic loss.” As of Monday, the family had raised more than $35,000.
“Eleni was a loving sister, niece, aunt, and mother to a beautiful six-year-old girl who is now without her mother,” the family wrote.
“Eleni also lost her parents when she was four years old; She and her siblings were raised by their grandmother, and they all grew up as a close-knit family unit. They have weathered several adversities as a family, but never in our worst nightmare could we have imagined this could happen to anyone.”
Police Investigation Report
On Sunday, Michigan State Police said officers in Dearborn spotted the vehicle, with Tennessee plates, and overtook it on Forrer Street near Warren Avenue, where it stopped over the right shoulder. As officers approached, the driver fled, MSP said.
The officers lost sight of the vehicle and ended the pursuit. As they drove east on Tireman Street near Normile, officers saw the car again, which appeared to have jumped off a sidewalk and into a house.
“As officers approached the scene of the accident, there was an exchange of gunfire between the officers and the suspect,” MSP said on Twitter, calling the incident “a shootout involving officers.”
A 9mm Glock pistol was found in the vehicle. Dearborn Police declined to comment, leaving MSP to investigate.
