Kaneycha Turner, a freshman from Statesville, North Carolina. Who Dies in Greensboro Night Shootings? Greensboro Police are investigating a shooting on Circle Drive that killed two people, including an NC A&T freshman and an unidentified man.
Four other people were injured Tuesday night and were taken to a local hospital with injuries.

NC A&T Freshman Killed in Greensboro Shooting
Police said the first shots were fired around 11:30 p.m. Located on the 900 block of Circle Drive near East Bessemer and Summit Avenues. Upon arrival, officers found two victims with gunshot wounds.
Officials at North Carolina A&T State University identified one of the victims as Kaneycha Turner, 19, a freshman from Statesville, North Carolina.
While officers investigated, four other shooting victims arrived at a local hospital for treatment.
In this case, no suspicious information became known.
The second shooting took place around 11:50 p.m. on Parker Street near Huffine Mill Road and East Wendover Avenue.
Police Investigation Report
NC A&T officials confirmed Wednesday morning that 19-year-old Kaneycha Turner was one of the victims killed in the shooting. I was a freshman in Management/Business Administration in Statesville.
According to police, Turner was not at the rally when the shooting took place.
At this time, they cannot confirm if the other victims were also NC A&T students.
News 2 spoke to a local resident who was at his home during filming.
“We were getting ready to go in there and then we heard a really loud bang and then suddenly back to back like loud noises and we were looking out the window and there were a bunch of people running in different directions,” said McKenzie Palmer, who works at the Circle Drive is alive.
Palmer said she was shocked by what happened.
“It was very scary, especially when they were walking around the neighborhood,” he added.
During Wednesday’s briefing, Greensboro Mayor Nancy Vaughan said, “What has happened over the past few days has been a setback for the community. Hopefully, we’ll see the community come together.”
There is currently no suspicious information.
NC A&T sent an Aggie Alert because the shooting occurred near campus, but the police did not link the incident to the school.
The Greensboro Police Department is working with the university to provide the resources needed to prevent future incidents.
