Zaikiya Duncan and her boyfriend Jova Terrell are accused of hurting a child in Harris County. They were taken into custody Tuesday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana after escaping with five of their other children and raising an Amber Alert. They are currently awaiting shipment.
A twin brother and sister were taken to the hospital after police officials said they fled their abusive home in Cypress, Texas on Tuesday morning.

What Was The Crime?
The Harris County District 5 Sheriff’s Office said the 16-year-old boy and girl twins went door-to-door in their neighborhood early that morning seeking help.
It’s unclear how many doors they knocked on before encountering a woman in the nearby neighborhood at 5:30 a.m. m. She spoke anonymously to our sister station KTRK-TV for security reasons.
Their doorbell camera caught the twins asking, “Can you help us?” and showing him their wives.
“When they came in, they said, ‘We’re not here to hurt you,'” the woman recalls. “I was shaking with the handcuffs on. She said: “We are looking for help. We just need help. We just got out of our handcuffs. Our mother had handcuffed us in the laundry room.”
He immediately said the teenagers told him they were starving and hadn’t eaten in over a week. The woman gave them a sandwich and said they ate what was put in front of them.
The woman, a critical care nurse, photographed the wounds on their bodies. His wrists were cut off by the handcuffs. He noticed scars on his wrists.
“The girl complained that she couldn’t even close her hand because her hand was so tight and swollen from trying to get the handcuffs off,” the woman said.
She said they told her about his abuse at her home and didn’t hide any details.
Arrested
Zaikiya, who has been linked to a sad case of possible child abuse, appeared before a Louisiana judge Thursday morning to determine when she will be returned to Texas.
The mother and her boyfriend are expected to eventually arrive at the Harris County Jail. Both face child molestation charges and are accused of horrific child molestation.
Both appeared before a judge and are being held without bail in Louisiana. Harris County has 30 days to return her to the Houston area.
