PAK Beat BAN By 21 Runs in The First Match Of The Tri-series
Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 21 runs in Friday’s tri-series opener at Christchurch Cricket Ground.
Earlier, Bangladesh had won the draw, limiting Pakistan to 167/5. Pakistan batsman Mohammad Rizwan remained the top scorer with 78 runs not eliminated, Shan Masood scored 31 runs while captain Babar Azam had just 22 runs.
Bangladesh’s Taskin Ahmed conceded two wickets.
In response, Bangladesh only managed to score 146 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Mohammad Wasim Jr. picked up three wickets while Mohammad Nawaz conceded two wickets.
New Zealand is also playing in the series which is part of their preparations for the ICC Australia 2022 Men’s T20 World Championship. Pakistan will face the host team on Saturday.
In the second round, Pakistan meets New Zealand and Bangladesh on October 11 and 13 respectively, with the final scheduled for Friday, October 14.
