‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ Cited As Aamir Khan’s Biggest Flop After Mela

Bollywood megastar Amir Khan’s most anticipated film of the year, Laal Singh Chaddha, continues its disappointing performance at the box office and continues to sink into the collections.

With seventy percent of its shows being postponed due to poor box office attendance, the film is expected to be out of theaters soon.

Five days after its theatrical release, the film grossed INR 48 crore according to a report by Bollywood Hungama, and is expected to close at INR 55 crore.

However, experts claim Laal Singh Chaddha is Aamir’s biggest flop since his 2000 film Mela. Although the film has already faced delayed releases and a social media boycott, no one could have predicted such a drastic drop in collections.

The film, starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, is a Hindi adaptation of Tom Hanks’ 1994 classic Forrest Gump. It was directed by Advait Chandan and co-produced by Aamir Khan Productions. The film also stars Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya in key roles.
