Sindh Govt Public Holiday Notification Due To Heavy Rainfall
The government of Sindh has declared Monday 25th July a public holiday due to expected heavy rains in Karachi and Hyderabad divisions.
The decision was announced by Karachi administrator Murtaza Wahab in a tweet, adding that a notification would be issued in relation to this.
In a previous tweet, the Karachi admin urged people to avoid unnecessary movement, citing unrelenting heavy rain.
It is important to mention here that the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued an urban flood warning for low-lying areas in several Sindh cities including Karachi.

According to a current PMD report, heavy rain accompanied by wind and thunderstorms is expected until July 26 due to strong monsoon currents.
PMD also called on the Sindh Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) to take the necessary measures and remain on high alert to prevent loss of life and property in the province.
