US Embassy announces extension of interview ban for more Pakistani passport holders

The United States Mission to Pakistan announced the extension of interview waiver privileges at the United States Embassy in Islamabad and the United States Consulate General in Karachi for Pakistani citizens renewing B1 tourist and business visas B2.

Eligible are Pakistani citizens aged 45 and over who have valid B1/B2 visas or have expired within the last 48 months.

This is a process change intended to provide better customer service and more efficiently process tourist and business visa extensions for qualified and eligible Pakistani citizens. Under US law, some eligible visa holders may be required to appear for interviews at the US Embassy or Consulate-General after submitting their application.
