Kate Middleton’s ‘eager’ gesture to show respect to Camilla
Kate Middleton’s generous behavior towards Camilla Parker on Commonwealth Day is analyzed by a body language expert.
The Duchess of Cambridge only gave the queen-to-be hugs and kisses and was “eager” to show her affection for Camilla, says Judi James.
Judi told The Mirror: “Kate touched Camilla’s arm with her left hand as an extra gesture to suggest closeness and affection as they kissed on the cheek .to go to give Camilla his kiss on the cheek.
“His hand on Camilla’s arm fell off, but then he put it back for one last squeeze.”
“These welcoming accessories are tie signals that would signal to Camilla and the rest of the world that Kate wishes to show affection and closeness to the woman who will sit on the throne before her,” Judi noted.
Judi went on to say that there was visible tension in the air ahead of the warm greetings as Commonwealth Day marked the first since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the UK to step down as members of the royal family.
She explained: “Ordered and aligned, Charles, Camilla, William and Kate’s body language affection and unity today felt like an emphatic declaration of closure after the unbearable tensions and open splits of 2020 when Harry and Meghan bid farewell to the UK and Edward and Sophie had to sit as human buffers to prevent layers of permafrost from forming.”
Judi added: “The most telling moment came as the four stood together and waited to walk down the aisle. There were signs of residual tension from William on arrival, who can still recall ghosts from the past as he arrived with an outstretched hand. He crouched over his stomach before wiping his hands and stroking his clothes to indicate inner anxiety, but he chatted with Kate, smiling because she sounded more upbeat than his grim, tense expression two years ago.”

Noting Charles, Judi continued, “Even Charles walked in with his hand in his pocket and seemed a bit fragile and unsettled, but once the group got together there were kisses everywhere and an atmosphere of relaxation that everyone seemed to enjoy.”
“William kissed Camilla on both cheeks and Charles did the same to Kate before standing close to her with sustained eye contact while smiling and pointing in a heated conversation. Kate mirrored his pointing gesture, implying affectionate approval and thoughts. similar”, Judi handed over.
