Prince Harry and Meghan appear unwilling to win back falling UK support, US market notes

Apparently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle aren’t keen on winning back public support in the UK as they scramble to befriend “real-life Hollywood stars to boost their popularity” in the United States.

Royal correspondent Rebecca English said the UK is “no longer their market” as the couple focus their efforts on the US.

It comes as the pair have suffered another drop in the UK polls while the rest of the royal family has surged in popularity.

A poll by JL Partners for the Daily Mail this week found that 41% viewed the Duke of Sussex positively compared to 54% who viewed him negatively, giving him a net approval rating of -13 points.

Meghan Markle disliked 31% and 61%, giving her a net approval rating of -30 points in the same poll conducted on February 8 among 1,054 UK adults.

Asked if the Sussexes cared about popularity in the UK, Ms. English said: “As for the Sussexes, the answer is an emphatic no. For them, the UK is no longer their market. They have other fish for frying states in the United States “state.”

“It’s encouraging to see that the other royals are equally popular. It’s a struggle for her to stay relevant in the modern age, but it seems to be working.”

Royal correspondent Richard Eden pointed to the couple’s public efforts to “befriend real Hollywood stars” to “increase popularity”.

“I don’t think opinion polls are important at home. I would like to see a public opinion poll in the United States. I think there’s a lot of indifference towards them.”

“The couple [Prince Harry and Meghan] seem to recognize this as they go out of their way to befriend real Hollywood stars like Zendaya and Tom Holland to boost their popularity,” Richard added.
