Meghan Markle shared the ‘scary’ realities of real life

Meghan Markle reportedly told one of her closest friends the harsh and sometimes terrifying realities of what it means to be a member of the royal family.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s love story lasted five months, and during that time they not only kept the relationship a secret from everyone, but also flew from coast to coast to capture as many moments as possible.

When their relationship was made public, the duo only had hours to prepare and the Duchess was unaware of what that would mean.

According to Finding Freedom writers Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, “One night in late October in Toronto, Harry was happy, and so was Meghan. Until they got a call from one of Harry’s assistants at Kensington Palace. That wasn’t good news.”

“A tabloid wanted to publish the story of their relationship. Her main concern was that her house would be besieged by photographers within 24 hours.”

“They had little time to think because there were few paparazzi in Toronto, but it wasn’t long before photographers arrived from New York and Los Angeles, all hoping to get the first shot of the ‘Happy Couple’ film.”

The writers also admitted, “Before I met Harry, I only met the cameras on set or on the red carpet.”

“Security was needed. Shortly after the news broke, a photographer from a Los Angeles photo agency climbed over her backyard fence and waited for Meghan by her car, hoping to snap a picture before she went shopping.”

“Meghan was horrified and called the police. ‘It’s always going to be like that, isn’t it?’ she told a friend at the time.”
