Police officer Jason Rivera was a New York City police officer who was killed on duty Friday night during a call into a domestic dispute.
He was shot in the Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan; This was announced by the New York Police Department early Saturday.

Rivera’s partner, Wilbert Mora, 27, was seriously injured and taken to hospital where he underwent surgery. He’s been at the ministry for four years.
The two officers were hit when a suspect, identified by police as 47-year-old Lashawn McNeil, began shooting from a bedroom in a Harlem apartment after officers arrived.
A third NYPD officer shot McNeil after the suspect opened fire, police say. He remained in critical condition early Saturday morning, police said after correcting an earlier police report that said he died at the scene.
NYPD dispatch records obtained by Fox News Digital show the call came from a woman who was having an argument with her son.

Police said the mother told them she had no injuries and that no weapons were involved.
Officers approached a back room where McNeil’s mother directed them, then McNeil suddenly opened the door and shot the officers, police said.
Officers were taken to Harlem Hospital, where Rivera was soon pronounced dead. Mora remained in critical condition.
