Pakistani Passport Ranking In 2022
In early 2022, the latest results of the Henley Passport Index show that the Pakistani passport is the fourth weakest in the world after war-torn Syria, Afghanistan, and Iraq.
The index ranks the passports of countries according to the world’s largest travel information database. The Henley Passport Index misclasses Pakistan based on the number of countries that visa-free citizens can travel to and based on information from the International Air Transport Association and analysis of global travel documents.
The Pakistani passport continues to be the fourth-worst passport for international travel for the fourth year, with visa-free or visa-free access to only 31 destinations worldwide. The South Asian country with around 221 million inhabitants took 108th place.
Severe travel restrictions caused by Covid have created the largest global mobility gap in the Index’s 16-year history, Report.
Meanwhile, as in the previous year, Japan and Singapore were in the first place, followed by Germany and South Korea, which maintained their joint second place, while Afghanistan and Iraq took first and second place in the opposite direction.
Finland, Italy, Luxembourg, and Spain together occupy third place (with a score of 189), while many European countries dominate the top of the list, as usual, France, the Netherlands and Sweden move up one place alongside Austria and Denmark. in fourth place (with a score of 188). Ireland and Portugal rank fifth (with a score of 187).
In addition, the USA and Great Britain, which together took first place in 2014, made up some ground again compared to the 2021 index.
