Over 54,000 Pakistanis have applied for the government Hajj scheme as the deadline ends today. The Ministry of Religious Affairs confirmed the number, with the final draw scheduled for December 6.
Pakistan’s Hajj quota for 2025 stands at 179,210, equally split between government and private schemes. Applicants are required to deposit Rs200,000 upfront, followed by Rs400,000 within ten days of the ballot, and the remaining balance by February 10.
A new mobile app, “Pak Hajj 2025,” has been launched to assist pilgrims. Additionally, airfare under the government scheme has been reduced to Rs220,000, providing a Rs14,000 relief compared to last year.
