5 Pakistani universities were ranked in the QS Sustainability Rankings 2023. These rankings include universities for their performance in terms of social and environmental sustainability.
This is the first edition of the QS Sustainability Ranking. The list ranked universities based on their ability to address environmental, social, and governance challenges.

QS ranked these universities by assessing their performance on two main indicators; Environmental sustainability measures and social impact measures.
The former is further subdivided into Sustainable Institutions, Sustainable Education, and Sustainable Research, while the latter includes Equality, Knowledge Sharing, Educational Impact, Employability and Opportunity, and Quality of Life.
